A TWO DAY FLOWER SHOW ORGANISED AT COOCHBEHAR
Webdesk, TNI Coochbehar, 11th February, 2015: The 33rd Flower Show was organized at Coochbehar’s NN Park. The Flower show was inaugurated by the State Forest minister Mr. Binoykrishna Barman on Monday i.e. 9th Feb 2015. The two-day long flower show depicted many rare species of plants and flowers. A total of 76 contestants participated in the show in about 51 categories. The flower show has seen a huge number of visitors from Coochbehar town especially during the afternoon and evening hours. According to the officials of the State forest department, such shows encourages people to go in for self-gardening process, which ultimately will help in creating affection in plants. During the occasion, the other dignitaries present were Renuka Singh, MP, The Sabhadipati of Zilla Parishad Ms. Pushpita Roydakua, the chairman of Coochbehar Municipality i.e. Mr. Dipak Kumar Bhattacharya, the vice chairman Ms. Amina Ahmed, Abdul Jalil Ahmed, Dr. Kalyani Poddar, DFO Mr. Kaushik Sarkar and others.
